This was posted on Accies Twitter this afternoon so I assume the Moyo is offskii rumour is just that. Can’t see the club keeping us up to date with his activities, if he had left.

“David Moyo was in line to join Zimbabwe at their training camp at the weekend ahead of African Qualifiers v South Africa and Ethiopia, however the current Covid conditions have seen these games postponed to the autumn”

Callachan has activated his release clause so presumably has a deal on the table elsewhere. Not a surprise really.

https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/loc ... s-24227196

Rice also reveals we have lost out on 23 year old Kyle Turner who rejected an offer from us to sign a 2 year deal with Partick Thistle. A week ago the boy was in the papers saying he was targeting a place in the Premiership. Now he has settled for Thistle. Must think they are a better bet for reaching the Premiership or probably he’s getting more money.

And he’s signing for Ross County on a 3 year deal. Not much of a step up butbI bet he’s on more money.

Plenty of players leaving the club. Most other teams in Championship have already signed at least 2/3 players.

And once again Accies are way at back of queue having signed nobody as far as I can see.

Pre season wont be that far off then the league cup games; Is it any wonder we have no faith whatsoever in our board and the club in general

Let’s be honest, the club is following the same pattern it has for the last few seasons. They tend to go silent after the last game of the season and everyone buggers off on holiday. In the the few days leading up to the players return for pre season we start to here a fairly steady stream of signing news. Good, bad or indifferent. I’ve seen one tweet suggesting we have all but signed Kieran McDonald. I’ll take that with a pinch of salt. Other teams move ahead quickly Killie have made 6 signings to date, none of which excite me. Raith are upto 5. I!m not saying our signing news will be great. I’m anticipating the usual dogs dinner of leftovers and other teams young players who we seem to think we can turn into silk purses.

" we have all but signed Kieran McDonald. "

1 assist in 22 league matches last season is pretty poor, that tells me he's never hitting the bye line or getting many quality crosses in.

He'll no doubt sign on tomorrow ;)

Looks like we are making a goalkeeper loan signing from Blackburn.

There’s a long way to go until the transfer window closes (31 August) but judging by Rices’comments yesterday we don’t appear to be planning on being too active. “We are talking to one or two”. Doesn’t really square with “Whatever it takes”. 2 left backs so far which looks a bit silly if Mcmann doesn’t go. A hint of a loanee goalie and rumours that Andy Ryan has been signed on a full time contract from Stirling. If the Ryan rumour is true that actually might be for once a shrewd signing. Killie on the other hand have made 10 signings with the prospect of more. Now we know from bitter experience that quantity does not make quality, but as a statement of intent Killie couldn’t be clearer.

For some context before their signings Killie had 5 contracted players.

Nothing happening on the Accies front but Kyle Gourlay has signed a 2 year deal with Cove Rangers.

So that’s Andy Ryan confirmed on a 2 year deal and we appear to have paid Stirling a fee. Andy has been discussed on here before. After leaving us he carved out a decent career in the lower leagues. Moving from Forfar to Airdrie then To Dunfermline for a fee on a 2 year deal extended I think to a third. Released by Dunfermline after a loan spell at Airdrie he rejected an offer from Airdrie apparently cos Stirling were offering more. At this level I think he might just be a shrewd bit of business. Some of our striker signings have been awful. Remember Casanova or whatever he was called who cost us 75 k from the Arabs so Andy Ryan looks promising Fingers crossed.

Sean Slaven released and expected to join East Kilbride in the Lowland league. Good luck to him.

He’s 26 Porcupine and it appears there was a release clause in his contract with Stirling if an offer of full time football came in.

The move happened on Monday and a Stirling Albion statement said: “A release clause, subject to a move to full-time football and agreement being reached on a transfer fee, was included in Andy’s contract with Stirling Albion for season 2021/22.”
