Rewarding Failure

New deals for Rice and his team. A manager whose top level team was 3-0 down to Annan (currently the second worst team in Scotland) at half time, a side that included Templeton and Oggy, then lost to another bottom tier side in Stranraer and has only won one of the last thirteen games.

What a club.

Not a surprise really . He has given the youngsters game time which is what Ronnie and Les wanted and ultimately cost Canning his job because he only focused on survival. So when we return to NDP expect more of the same except in the Championship. A sad day for the future of the club. Youth comes before the first team. Provided we don’t go into free fall all Rice has to do is keep playing the youngsters as they come through and his job will be safe.

Just read Maitlands’ interview and I quote

"I know it seems for some people to be strange timing, but this is a strange club and we like to do things differently.”

You couldn’t make it up. GIRUP the fans but then that has been self evident for years. As far as Ronnie is concerned as long as he kicks a few balls into the crowd that will do.

Yet another shocking decision from the board, rewarding failure, you could not make it up.

His win record is just a bad if not worse than Canning. As bad as Canning was, at least he kept us in top division. Rice will take us down to Championship and if i am honest we are not coming back for a while

If we did not know it already, the board dont give a flying feck for the fans. So why should we bother

How bad does it have to get before Rice is shown the door, which will almost certainly cost the club money to pay him off when it goes tits up

Trying to think positively, I’m hoping that this commitment to Rice is done in an effort to convince players such as Callachan, Fulton, maybe Anderson who’ve indicated that they enjoy playing for Accies under Rice’s tutelage as well as good young players like Hamilton, that they should also commit to Accies for next season.
We’ve got a decent first team but had no depth because of injuries. If we can keep the squad together and avoid injuries next season we should be good enough to bounce back if relegated or stabilise our Premier position should we manage to stay up.
If we go down and the best players leave we’re doing a Partick :?
