Back 4: Ziggy, Canning, Devlin, Gillespie
DM: Routledge
Mid 4: Imrie, Redmond, Crawford, Hasselbaink
ST: Scotland.

Team pretty much picks itself at the moment. Once we see a bit more of the new guys that might change. The only change IMO would be taking Gillespie out of defence as he's prob made more mistakes being played out of position than Hendrie has. Rather than play a midfielder out of position I'd give MacDonald and opportunity.

Clearly Sumsky may be able to force his way on; but currently we cant judge if and where he will play. I would find it depressing if Scotland was our main man up front and if Nigel was played wide. We aslo need to look to replace Hendry but its interesting that MacDonald hasn't even made the squad.

From what I remember about Nigel and from what St J fans were saying about him, he's not suited to be a main "target" striker.

He's best playing either behind the main striker or out on the left wing, and cutting in (a bit like how Imrie plays).

That means we still need an out-and-out striker. That currently leaves either Scotland or Brophy.
Scotland would under normal circumstances, get the nod!
