So sad to hear of the passing of my childhood hero of the 1950s. RIP Jim.

Would've been very interesting to see how he got on in England.

For the younger ones on the forum his achievements in the 80's for me would make him the manager of the 80's in Scotland.

Cheated out of a European cup final place in 84 thanks to a corrupt ref, shameful behaviour by Roma after the 2nd leg.

And then a UEFA final in 87 after becoming the 1st British team to beat Barca in the nou camp.

Add in a few league cup and Scottish cup finals and also the conveyor belt of talent that came out of Utd in the 80's hasn't been bettered.
