Transfer Deadline Day

Postby The Goalie » Mon Oct 05, 2020 4:57 pm

Transfer Deadline Day today Accies, if you were not already aware???

Thankfully, at time of writing this, there is roughly seven hrs remaining before Scottish window closes....when it does, Accies can then post their usual comment...out of contract players can be signed after deadline....

Just a (hopefully positive) thought.

With Greg Docherty transferred to Hull City for a reported £400K, were we not told at one of the forums that we would be due either 10% or 20% of any future sell-on fee?

Useful money in these impecunous times.

Checked the feedback from the fans forum held in February 18. Ronnie said we got 60% of the fee up front and there was a 20% sell on clause for Docherty.

Yes, I was also at that forum and 20% stuck in my mind, which given the embarrassing scam at the same time, made the sale inevitable, and got some cash in right away.
We all said at the time that GD would likely have his dreams cut short going to Sevco, and so it has turned out, but if Accies are paid £80K from Sevco, during this pandemic, then it must NOT be frittered away.
