Deserves a thread of its own and this item from the BBC todays shows getting any proposals through are going to be extremely difficult. League 2 clubs not going to be ignored! Personally I'm for the status quo. Bye Hearts :D

Lets be honest, if we had not went on our wee run in last few weeks and had been bottom of league, there would be no talk of league reconstruction. It would be f**k off Accies back to where you belong. This is all to save the glorious?? Hearts

If and it's a big If that reconstruction goes ahead then at the very most it'll be a 14 team league so how would or could it work?

Play everybody twice for 26 games and then split into the usual 2 groups of 7 and play each other home and away and you still have 38 games.

This protects the same number of home games currently at 19 and the incentive of top 7 is another 2 home games v the bigots.

The bottom 6 clubs currently are not guarenteed 4 homes games from the bigots as it is so why would you oppose this suggestion?

To be honest I get the feeling that whatever gets proposed then Hibs are knocking it back out of spite to Hearts.

I assume we stick to our position of no reconstruction unless its permanent so that only needs 1 more premiership club to vote with us or abstain and I think Im correct its a non starter. Based on recent voting behaviour Hibs would be a no but the whole thinks just a clusterfxxx. The chief executive of the SPFL should be the one leading any further reconstruction proposals but presumably he is busy negotiating with BT to convince them not to withhold any remaining TV monies. Oh that will be the BT that cockwomble slagged off for failing to respect the scottish game. Meanwhile the german game leads the way by restarting. Is anyone from the SPFL in touch with the Bundesliga to get a template and lessons learned?

Canny help it GA, arrrggggghhhh.

But on a serious note I am genuinely disgusted with the behaviour of the SPFL and even why they've gave Budge another weekend to come up with something/anything that no one will buy into is farcical.

Stole this from Pie n Bovril site. Kelty have apparently launched legal action and this was being discussed.

'Therefore Kelty's argument is nothing to do with finishing the season, but rather that the SPFL have changed the play-off arrangements (by cancelling it) contrary to the rules. They will argue that both they and Brora have been declared champions and put forward for these play-offs, therefore they SPFL do not have the power to unilaterally decide to scrap them for any reason.'

Also on a side note when you consider Accies and Alloa Chairman's both on the SPFL board and very likely to be drawn into a play off spot that they decided just to scrap the play offs too. Interesting

So its now official league over:

PREMIERSHIP CLUBS REACH UNANIMOUS AGREEMENT THAT TOP FLIGHT CANNOT BE FINISHED

The SPFL has today announced that, following consultation with all 12 top-flight clubs, the Board of the SPFL has determined that the 2019/20 Ladbrokes Premiership has been concluded with immediate effect.

As with the Ladbrokes Championship, Ladbrokes League One and Ladbrokes League Two competitions, final season placings have been determined by points per game in league matches played to 13 March 2020 by each club.

The decision means that Celtic are crowned 2019/20 champions and Hearts have been relegated to the Ladbrokes Championship.

Given Kelty appear to be threatening legal action if they do go ahead cant see how Budge can do anything else either or she looks even more foolish.

Hearts should definitely have an asterisk beside them in the final league table for 2019/20.

*Would have been relegated by much more than 4 points. Absolutely shite and Stendel every bit as bad as his predecessors.

Have to disagree Bluesy, Hearts were on the up, started to get their big players back at a vital time in the season.

Ross county and St Mirren both struggling and were'nt scoring so I thought those 2 woiuld easily get dragged in.

Dundee's behaviour in all of this has been shameful. Hokey cokey voting.

Interesting use of 'on the up' having just lost to St Mirren!

If they had been 'on the up', we'd have been 10th!

We have been "on the up" to - Wins against Rangers and Killie secured us 7th consecutive season in the top flight, no matter what Hearts would have possibly done.
Feel bad for them though, going down like that is shameful and hard to take for any club...

Link to an interview with St mirren’s CEO in the record. judging by what he is saying Budge can take a hike with reconstruction plans. “We wouldnt be discussing this if it was Hamilton or St Mirren were bottom'. Too true and good to see another realist telling it the way it is.

To quote Neil Donkey on possible court action by Hearts

“But any action that’s taken by any member against the league ultimately is taken against members as a whole”

So the scenario is, Hearts get reconstruction voted through or they threaten court action for every other club is liable too.

I read that these costs could be upwards of £400,000 so for talking sake let’s say it’s £420,000. Is every club liable for £10,000 lawyer fees?

Surely Brechin who got £45,000 in prize money are not liable for the same fees as Celtic who got £m’s ?

Well it’s Monday and I await smoke from the Tynecastle chimney to tell us whether Budge has savedHearts and Scottish football or like the good captain she is gone ‘doon’ with the ship. All sorts of rumours going around. There seems to be one group promoting one league of 16 and basically to hell with the rest. I’ve know doubt that those that think there are 2 many league teams would love to see the part timers ditched. Conspicuous lack of leadership from the board or the chief executive of the SPFL. “Such a parcel of rogues in our nation” comes to mind.

Imagine the luck we have being alive at a time when Dominic Cummings and Gordon Strachan are competing for most unbelievable things to say to the press.

Strachan scores in the top corner by saying "If you think giving a good product is watching two teams in the bottom half of the Scottish Premiership playing on a plastic pitch, you're kidding yourself," he said. "Absolutely kidding yourself." (Wonder who he's talking about?) before Cummings knocks in a late and disputed equaliser by revealing we have all been doing the lockdown wrong, bar clever old him.

Without wishing to politicise the board, both made me a little sick, but Strachan really comes across as a doddery old fool dribbling uncomfortably from the corner of his mouth into a microphone. If clubs like his own were so professional, they would be miles ahead of us, particularly aided by the massive advantage their huge crowds and better atmosphere generates :D His total lack of self-awareness is emphasised when he says clubs should all find your level that you play at - I thought that was exactly what happens in league football over the years, coronavirus notwithstanding. I can't wait for what comedy gold comes next from either of these t##spots.
