Club statement this afternoon states they have temporarily suspended training. Can’t see the league resuming even behind closed doors.

One piece of news that has been 'lost' in the last week is that both Oggy & Mayo have signed new contracts. That's GOT to be GOOD NEWS, as they were starting to blend as our two-up-front menaces to other teams defences. Let's still try to get Alex Gogic tied down for another season too.

IMO, we'll not see football back in the next three months, so as Spock said "It's life, Jim, but not as we know it". :( :(

From BBC website:-

Meanwhile Cowdenbeath, who are fourth in League Two, say they cannot sell season tickets without knowing which league they will playing in next season.

Until a firm decision is made as to whats happening the same applies to Accies given we currently occupy the play off slot.

How are the club going to cope if, potentially, we are shut down until the summer or even beyond? Fans of Raith, Partick and Albion Rovers have launched crowdfunders. Raith fans have raised £36,500 already! A rough guess is that Accies are around £30,000 - £35,000 down from the Hibs game, should the club not be appealing for help or is there something unique about how we're funded?

On a more serious note I see Aberdeen are asking supporters to buy their season ticket now to help cash flow. I suspect we might here this from Accies once a decision is ade as to the status of the league and our position. It will be accompanied by one of Mcgowan’s marketing messages “if you dont buy a season ticket I’ll build houses on the pitch “ :(

From BBC
"The rest of the top-flight clubs will get £157,500 plus VAT.

The payments dip significantly down the divisions. Championship clubs are due to be paid £26,500 plus VAT, League One clubs £2,700 plus VAT and League Two clubs £1,350 plus VAT."

So now we know the huge financial difference to us, £131,000, but it does show up the massive difference between Scottish football and that of England. Where million are paid out there, one wonders what the 5th tier National league teams get? Anyone got an idea?

Our League 1 & 2 pay-outs are an embarrassment .... just what can a club do meaninfully with that?

Hibs to offer flexible payment for season tickets as they recognise many of their fans will be suffering financially because of the current crisis.

Looking again at the "final" league table, five teams all lost 15 games, from Killy downwards

Had we won just ONE of our nine drawn games (and there were many where we could and should have!!) we would have ended up in tenth place on goal difference. Two wins rather than two draws and its ninth place.

t's academical now.
