Nico Sumsky Signing

Postby Accies999 » Mon Feb 02, 2015 11:03 am

From Official Site

Accies boosted their squad today with the capture of 21 year old Czech midfielder Nico Sumsky (left) from Slovakian club Dukla Bystrica. He has 9 Czech youth caps and International clearance is awaited. Nico played at Monaco and Cannes as a youth but has been with Bohemians Prague, Parma and Dukla Banska Bystrica.

Interesting one although I can't find any other info on the guy.

The team we signed him from are currently 12th in the Slovakian league. Quite a small club like ourselves, founded in 1965. Nice little stadium as well. He's played in 15 out of 19 games this season without scoring. Not too bad considering they've got about 10 midfielders in squad. Not sure about personal stats, height, etc. Another signing we've never heard of but I'm hoping our scouting network is going to become as successful as our academy.

I would imagine agents at work here

I’m a little bit worried that we seem to be heading back down the route of our last stay in the Premier league with a variety of foreign imports. OK Cerny worked but otherwise it was a mixed bag. One minute we are developing our youth the next we are bringing in foreign imports. Mixed messages here. So far its a boy from limerick, one from Moldova and another from slovakia. Not hopeful about Loy unless he has an east european, irish, south american background :(

Just seen photo of him next to Canzo. By the looks of it the next signing will need to be Snow White to look after the midfield ;)

1.....Knowing nothing about this player, the 2 signings within last week, seem to be totally out of the blue. Wonder what convinces the manager/board that these players will work.

2.....Why (unless club know that Andreu, Crawford, etc are leaving today), do we need yet another midfielder? Mind we've also brought in Lynch.

Getting seriously concerned that we'll be left without any potent strikers.
Also Danny Redmond must be wondering if he's ever going to start a game again.

Lynch has been stated to be a signing for next season; he isn't even starting for the U20s yet.

Perhaps this new guy is also with a look towards next season when it is likely that Andreu will be gone.

If Redmond could get anywhere fit and interested enough for 90 mins he could perhaps have grounds to be annoyed.

So what's different with Redmond.
What makes you think he's not fit or interested?

After all he was a regular starter the first half of the season.

And in lots of those games he faded badly in the second half and was subbed.

Lynch played second half for the under 20s last week and looked good Given he finished the Irish season at the end of October he should be up for a few first team starts this season

Do you think any of these new guys would object if they had to wear a Tony Andreu mask whilst playing?
