Obviously they are rightly strong favourites but they are no world beaters and we shouldn't treat them as such with even clueless Canning getting decent results there.

Keep it right and hit on the break and we will see what happens.

We are on a relatively rich vein of form for us with a win, 2 draws and a heroic defeat in the last 4. The Rangers will have had a hard game on the Thursday. However there is no docherty, templeton or crawford to produce that bit of magic and they will not want to see that only 1 point gap on celtic widened again. Anything from a 2 - 0 defeat to better would be acceptable. Won't be there but will wait and see if we get another sarcastic tweet about our support from our own ‘commercial’ department :oops:

They are on a decent run of form and we rarely get anything at all from Ibrox. Never a good time to play them, but this is probably best time, after an away Europe game for them

These are not the games that will define our season. With ridiculous pricing I think we will be lucky to take 150 fans

3-0 would be decent result for us, sorry got to be realistic, but quite fancy a 5-0

They will no doubt make mileage of 'how poorly supported Accies are' without mentioning that the entry prices have been hiked up to silly levels from that normally paid. -1 from me too.

Annoyed at the prices but surprisingly everybody in my group is going to this one. After the last few games I can see a glimmer of hope for Sunday.

Results today mean that whatever happens tomorrow our 8th place is secure. So other than our goal difference taking a hit there is no pressure on the players tomorrow. Take a point and we could move upto 7th assuming Livingston loose!

After today’s results it’s a free hit.
Rangers are excellent from midfield forward however they are suspect at the back. Goldstone is guilty of being bullied by strong strikers so PLEASE give us Okmpoe and Oakley up front and test them to the limit. Sit back and we’ll lose.
If we go for it and get a kicking so what.
I appreciate that there will be a very small Accies support tomorrow but that just means that I may be in a very small club of living Accies fans who have witnessed 3 wins at Ibrox!

Pretty much as i had predicted earlier this week and 5-0. Rangers having 76% possession. they had the obvious incentive of going top of league after Celtic result earlier so we were pretty much lambs to slaughter

Still these games are not going to define our season, we need to keep picking up points off just about every other team in league cos at the moment there is not a lot between the rest outwith old firm

Yep 24% possession for us, 3 shots none of which were on target and 0 corners. Followed the game on text and it was poor stuff from us. I assume injury influenced the defensive choices but I’m disappointed all the same that there was no sign of any progress from the squad. Not helped by the Celtic result as SMC has said.

Disappointing result but if we can beat Hibs in a couple of weeks, who cares (other than those who forked out £29 to watch it).

That was tough today.
So surprised at the lineup. Beck and Hughes just don’t contribute enough.
Seriously wouldn’t have minded a 5-0 drubbing if we’d had a go but that felt like a Canning type of performance/ team selection.
We need to not dwell on this however as the direction of travel is positive.
Hibs and St Johnstone matter much more than Rangers away.
Oggie and Lewis Smith v Hibs please

Thinking back, a large chunk of my worst experiences following Accies have been at Ibrox.

Two of the top 10 have also been there right enough. (what are your top 10? Make it easier 5?)

Far too many times however the match has been prefaced by a feeling of utter hopelessness which has only grown throughout the game.

When we were en route to Tynecastle this year and saw the lineup with Oakley, Oggy and Lewis Smith all in the team together it gave me a real lift and we walked in full of hope and really should have won the game.

I firmly believe that we would have lost this game no matter what however I would loved to have seen us have a go.

Incidentally

1. Celtic Park (2014 win and top of the league)
2. Easter Road (2014 play off win)
3. Ibrox (1987 Scottish cup win)
4. Fir Park (2014 0-4)
5. Ibrox (2017 0-2)

So many of the top ones are recent and that is a wee reminder that these are actually halcyon days.

other contenders have to be.

2nd leg 1-0 midweek defeat at Dens in 1979 (went through to the semi final of the league cup 3-2 on aggregate - buses got stoned after it)
4-5 win at Alloa to go top of the league 1986 (maybe end of '85) and 3 pitch invasions by Accies fans
3-2 win v Motherwell after being 2-0 down at half time (1978?)

Hard to believe its only 2 years since we won 2-0 at Ibrox but that was clueless Canning! Will we ever get off his back? Unfortunately I cannot see us beating Rangers at Ibrox again in my lifetime so sad that when we did knives were still out in next game when we should have still been celebrating.

Top 5 memorable and enjoyable games
1. Celtic 0-1 Accies October 2014
Singing “we’re top of the league and you’re no”
Unlikely ever to be bettered unless we won a Cup.
2. Forfar 0-4 Accies May 2004
Accies ‘Seville’ moment, with an amazing away support making the stadium red and white in the sunshine. On the pitch at the end to salute our promotion. The start of our ascent.
3. Accies 2-0 Clyde April 2008 to win the first division and get back to Premier. So busy I couldn’t get into my season ticket seat and had to go into the Spice of life stand.
4. Accies 3-0 Hibs. March 2010? When Joel Thomas scored twice. We played them off the park and looked a proper top flight team, Wesoloski, MaArthur and Neil in midfield. Outstanding.
5. AcciesU19 2-2 BaselU19 October 2018
The potential for a great future. A joy to see the stadium busy and the standard of our U19 (invincible) Champions team.

I was at Ibrox in 1987 and dined out on it for years, but it would be 6th.
Didn’t enjoy the game much, too tense.
It was an isolated fluke result, whereas the ones I’ve highlighted showed steady growth to the peak of Celtic Park and the potential for our future.

1. Ibrox 1987 - not sure that will ever be beaten.

2. Hibs 1 Accies 3 (Nov 1986) this was the game when Lambie was finally going to get his hole lol. Only about 200 Accies fans but a great day.

3. Forfar 0 Accies 4 - Superb away support

4. Hibs 1 Accies 3 - Aug 2017 - Played some tremendous stuff and could have won by 5 or 6.

5. Accies 5 Motherwell 0 - Enough said.
