If matches were to be moved to an evening kick off on a Saturday night (6pm kick offs onwards) Home or Away do you feel this would help to generate more fans at matches, would it help to provide a better overall experience or won’t make a difference ?

If kickoffs moved to Saturday night then realistically I would not attend any matches.

It’s off the back of a conversation I had with someone in the SLO Network Derek about something relating to admission prices and evening kick offs

I wonder if the new tv contract coming into operation next season is anything to do with this? Anyway Saturday night is for most people for socialising or watching Strictly. Football attendance is, a wise man said, a habit. Saturday afternoon and midweek evenings. Break that habit and schedule games all over the place e.g. Friday nights, weekend early kick offs and you infringe on other habits e.g. golf, the pictures etc. I think fans views on this across the football world are pretty consistent re mucking game times around.

Friday nights are the best for tv. Then Saturday lunchtime. Sunday kick offs are absolutely dug meat. Saturday night kick offs would be horrendous.

I’m with Euan. Saturday night in December with pint in hand in ML3, or freezing one’s knackers at NDP...hmmm...tough one.
Not.
