Bye bye Alan McGonigal

Postby TerracingTomas » Mon Jul 22, 2019 4:39 pm

From the Advertiser twitter feed:-

Allan McGonigal has left his position as director of football and on the board of @acciesfc

Well he didnt last long less than 6 months if my maths is correct. Given there seems to be a general feeling our recruitment to date this season has not exactly set the grass on fire doesnt seem a great loss. May be he realised he wasnt up to the job. Can we expect a flurry of last minute signings before the window closes.

We don't need a Director of Football to realise the we need to recruit a mobile, experienced big central defender stopper in the role of a traditional Centre Half BEFORE the window closes. Spend the same salary as the departed DoF was receiveng and we might just get what we need.
