Some Accies fans are simply an embarrassment.
There was no £2m deal on offer any longer, I would be amazed if there ever was!!
Got to wonder what the op would do if he were in Hendrie's shoes, sign a life changing contract at West Ham or continue to earn a non spectacular wage at Accies?
This deal will earn us the same money as we got IN TOTAL for McArthur IF we did have a 10% sell on clause.
What good would it do the clubs reputation to banish the guy back to the youths for 6 months?? How is that going to look to other youngsters when they consider whether to sign for Accies or another club?? Does banishing him to the reserves give him the best chance of hitting the ground running at West Ham, making a bit of a name for himself and gettig is a bit more positive exposure in the future.
Agreed that we will have too trial youngsters and or K. McDonald at full back, I doubt it's the best just to throw them straight in to first choice left back for the remainder of the season and hope they succeed.
whether he is rated as good enough or not, he is a perfect example of the clubs ethos and he should continue to have the support of the fans, not only for the next 6 months but for the rest of his career, many still look out for how the James' are doing and more recent Sir Alex. Hendrie deserves the same!
If you don't rate him just be delighted we are getting a decent compo package and move on!!
