Just noticed on BBC Scotland website that apart from Livingston & Accies, the rest of the Scottish Premiership teams are showing off their respective new strips for this season.

I've asked the question on Accies Twitter if we are launching a new strip or is it the status quo.

Personally, I would love to see the full red & white stripes back on the home strip.

They always seem to leave it to the last minute to announce Goalie. I looked back on the club website but could find anything. if Im correct there was a sale in the shop at the end of the season of strips which might suggest a new one? At least you will be able to use your card in the shop if you want a strip

Maybe fans on here know how much money the club makes off football strips bought from the club shop. I don't know if this is a factor as to why it appears there is no rush by the club to get the new merchandise into the shop asap.

Many on here would like to show off there new tops whilst on holiday, etc...

Home strip_ red and white vertical stripes as worn by Neil Hood,Paul Hegarty and Phil Bonnyman.
Away strip_White top with red and navy blue diagonal sash.
3rd strip_green and blue hoops.

Stripes? Controversial. Once upon a time I'd have been dead against it but now I wouldn't mind as long as it didn't become the norm.

Hoops only and forever in my opinion. I lived through the red and white stripes of the 70s and it was not nice. I'd like our strips to be like celtic's but red instead of green obviously.

Like you I’m in the hoops only camp, chevrons and squiggly 80s shirts were abominations

Obviously Red and White hoops are far more sexy than green and white, blue and white, turquoise and white or whatever else and white.
But if we're true to our roots we should be going back to our original Cerise and French Grey.

It's interesting to note that the earliest strip seems to have been red and white hoops (although with dark blue shorts, which would be vile now).

We didn't play in cerise and french grey until 1908. Personally I think only red and white should be in our kits, and hoops please!

It appears that Accies have kept the same three kits from last season, if the new look Accies FC website is to go by - £49 for an adult top.

In the one sense, the club are not fleecing supporters by changing the strip each season but I would have liked to have seen a retro style, this season i.e. early 1980's Umbro.

Talk of the strip changing to something like our mid 1970's home strip.

Pictures of the away strip as modelled by Mr McGowan look good. Dark blue and green harking back to the colours of our founder James Blacklocks' school Hamilton Academy perhaps or maybe somebody just liked the colours I think they are wearing this strip tonight so I shall report back tomorrow on the overall effect as I take in my first game of the season.

The away kit is a shocker. Hopefully the home top is a bit better.
