Watching the repeat of the St Mirren game, very funny the timing of our goals giving the Dundee fans a great chance to wind up the Saints fans. Seconds before their second goal you can hear some cheering from the home fans and then "2-0 to the Hamilton" so when Cooke scored the celebrations are a little muted. Both our goals were perfectly timed, with "you're going down with the Dundee" getting its first airing after Kerr scored just as Ziggy also scored!

Edited to add, don't normally buy a Sunday paper but the Sunday National is excellent. Dougie on the back page and a huge picture of Ziggy's goal inside. Contrast that with back page of the Sunday Mail. Their splash? Man City!

Think ADMIN finally killed him off about a month ago after his latest rant. Expected a resurrection after Easter in some other guise. Thankfully, no sign. And now, with our survival guaranteed, hopefully he is never heard of again.

Great performance yesterday and two well taken goals.
Some noteable absences from yesterday’s squad.
Kilgallon and Gogic missing and neither Penny or Tseimbe make the bench never mind the team.
Similarly Miller injured and Keatings has left yet Boyd nowhere near.
Don’t think we’ll see them or Taiwo next season.

Sorry to disappoint but why would I be banned?
I'm an Accie like everyone else on here and am totally delighted we're still a Premiership team for 2019/20.

Brilliant stuff on Saturday.
Ziggy will be a real miss next season however he goes with everyone's best wishes I'm sure.
Great to see Dougie end on a high and the signs are great that he is an excellent coach.
Looking forward to seeing the young squad getting a go next season (look how that worked out for Motherwell).
Atmosphere was brilliant in the ground near the end. All in all very satisfactory.
I hope St Mirren win the play off as I think we can finish above them again. Livingston won't do that well again.

Bluesy, if we get the squad right for next season and Rice keeps the same or better points to games ratio then it doesn’t matter about other teams and hoping their worse than us. Let’s face it I can’t see a similar scenario as this one. Real progress for me will be a consistent 7/8/9 position through the season with relegation/play offs a remote possibility. Oh and of course a cup win!!,

TT - does a 'cup win' mean actually winning a cup, or just a win in a cup tie? I would settle for us actually trying to win a cup tie given we haven't seemed to want to actually do that for some time. I think BR has the mentality to try and win every game, so hopefully we can look forward to a different mind set from now on. Hopefully :D
On the outskirts of nowhere, on the ring road to somewhere, on the verge of indecision, I'll always take the roundabout way.

Didn't Boyd sign a contract extension recently?

Actually a good run in a cup would be fantastic. It really has been terrible all my life (apart from the one semi final v Dundee Utd at East End Park). I remember coming home from Dens in the midweek quarter final second leg with my dad (after getting the bus pelted with stones) and being so delighted that we’d made the semi final. Little did we know when we left East End Park after a skelping that it would be SO long! That must be 40 odd years ago! That is ridiculous! Agree that Brian Rice has the mentality for the cup.

Not sure.
It wasn’t a criticism of the players mentioned more an observation that the weren’t even in the squad on Saturday.
Of the 4 I’d be happy to see Boyd here next season as he’s a talented player.
A great goal against Rangers showed what he’s capable of, maybe Rice can still get the best out of him.

Back to the game and;
Did anyone else catch Tommy the tit Wright on BBC Sportsound post match?
Basically said that his side outplayed Accies on Saturday.
The stats showed exactly 50/50 possession during the 90 mins.
Accies came out top on shots, shots on target, goals (obviously), and corners.
Even Billy Dodds remarked that he must have been watching a different game!

Excellent result and great to see a good support (despite the fact I turned up 30mins late) - I was amazed at Tommy Wrights comments everyone else said ACCIES were bty far the more positive and better team just look at the stats - St. Johnstone are on a bit of a slump maybe they will be in our position next season.

Think it's mid life crisis with Tommy the Tit.
He'll be wearing a gold sleeper next and buying a Harley Davidson.
