We had a pre season friendly at Camelon about 10 years ago if I recall (and lost, if I remember). A good team if memory serves me so hopefully Kieran will be in the same vein.

He is 24 years old and started off in Stenhousemuirs under 20s. Graduated to the first team where he played about 4/5 games over the season mostly from the subs bench. Stennie loaned him out to the juniors and he never established himself with Stennie so effectively he’s played junior most of his career. He’s only coming in for a look see so fair enough maybe he’s the next Jamie Vardey but I’m hopng for our Director of Football-has a bit more about him than just relying on his junior football contacts.

I stand corrected Gav. I see they were part of the lemming like rush to join the EOL last year. I missed that.

They, like the rest of the clubs had to go to the East of Scotland League.

The East Juniors was run so badly it was untrue. Once Kelty, Bonnyrigg, Linlithgow and Boness jumped ship the rest had no option but to follow.

I've heard rumblings of Lewis MacLeod from Brentford.

Would be astonished - but delighted if we could get MacLeod.

tbh I think he's a bit out of our League.
But that's what I've heard.

Could be a great signing. Certainly has proved he knows where the goal is. Think of all the players that came into the senior ranks at a later stage, always felt they tried more and always had something to prove. Ian Wright is the classic example.

Brian Easton signed. Looked rusty last week but with a good pre season is much better than what we have.

Agreed.
Always been a dependable player let's just hope his fitness doesn't turn out to be an issue.

From today’s Daily Record -

Hamilton are closing in on a deal for Blair Alston after the midfielder was released by St Johnstone.

The 27-year-old is set to make the move along with former Accie Brian Easton.

Perth boss Tommy Wright said: “It has been a tough decision and I thank Blair for everything.”

Defender Easton has passed a medical and returns to Accies, the club he started his career at.

Lewis MacLeod is nearing a move to Wigan Athletic I am now hearing.
A tad out of our League as I suspected but Accies deserve credit for trying.
Not something the previous Manager would have done.

With Hearts starting a 16 year old at left back (and he isn't looking out of place so far) should we not be looking to our youth set up for another left back instead of bringing back a player who has barely kicked a ball in a year and whose best years are behind him? Leon McCann is highly rated I believe but I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to move on with this signing. Rice did say he was going to bring the age of the squad down, after all.
