Johnny Hunt seems to a left back, so it makes no sense us signing another one. His wiki says he's 5'9" .

His player profile describes him as a utility player Stevie. He certainly has been playing left back all season for Stevenage but he's played midfield even as as striker so it make sense I think to have him in the squad if he offers options. Signing Easton is a gamble IMO. He won't be match fit after such a long break until Sept/Oct and could just as likely break down again. Mind you no confirmation yet he has actually signed!

Pleased with the signings of Easton, Alston and McKenna. Good to see us being decisive and going for our targets.
Must be cause we’re an established top flight team now ;)

Yeah good to see.
Seems as if Rice knows what he is doing and will try to get the new recruits in early-ish with a view to them gelling in time for the new season.
In contrast to Mr Martin's tombola random team selection and Euro pish machine.
Lol.

I think he’s more likely to end up back in Poland but I wouldn’t hesitate to offer him a contract.

Good to see the Davies contract situation sorted. I suspect this was completed before the players went off on their holidays but Accies Media have kept it up their sleeve. The more you look at his playing career the more I really think what a quality signing he is. The bulk (tee tee) of his career has been in the english Championship and probably injuries hampered his chances of making the Premiership. But he has been a sought after player in that league the object of 6 figure transfers. With a good pre season under his belt and avoiding significant injury he will be a key player for us next season.

The big guy is class.
The YouTube clip of his Bristol City goals is tremendous.
Including a header from a fair distance out.
And a typical poachers goal v Spurs while playing for Rochdale in the FA Cup.
Delighted he's on board for the next season at least.

The transfer window in Scotland offically opens today and runs until the 2nd of september. Last year the club announced most of our signings over the weekend the players came back to start pre -season training 24/26 June then there was another smaller batch just before the window closed at the end of August. This year we seem to be drip feeding so hopefully a few more over the next few weeks. Plenty of names been mentioned out there ranging from a goalie who was with Keltie Juniors to Andreu. A few genuine, a few made up for those that get their kicks winding up fellow fans.

Hamilton Accies have announced new contract for four of their players.

Attacker Mikel Miller is the most high-profile while academy graduates Shaun Want, Ronan Hughes and Ross Cunningham have also signed on.

All four sign new one-year deals to stay at New Douglas Park until the summer of 2020

Good to see Miller staying on, who is a decent player

This is excellent news. Miller is a game changer, maturing with us and will be an even better player by the end of the season, & one who could go South for big money.

Shaun Want has had troubled times with injuries, and lalso ooked as if MC did not fancy him. after some good performances. All three young players will likely be on the bench and playing at some point in the first team this season. Good work by the BOM to have all four signed up now.

Good business overall so far I think. Would personally love Andreu to return and if that eventually transpires, along with Oggy staying up front, I think we are in quite a solid position with players from who, in the main, we know what we are going to get.
On the outskirts of nowhere, on the ring road to somewhere, on the verge of indecision, I'll always take the roundabout way.
