Time for another Fan's Forum with the Chairman?

What chance during January being free of league football that our FLO might push for a long overdue meeting with the (new) Chairman and the very long suffering fans?

The last fans forum was useful because it cleared up questions around the missing million. The main issue for this one would be Martin’s future and assuming it was agreed to by the club you know what the answer would be. He is going nowhere, he’s kept us up, we are in 8th place etc. At the moment I think the directors are trying to keep a lid on the fans discontent. Home crowd figures are being massaged to hide the sharp drop in attendances, fans are apparently being banned for negative posts on the club’s twitter site, the club's safety officer seems to be trying to intimidate dissenting fans at home games. The last thing they want is an open forum where fans let rip.

I've got a great idea for the Venue.
How about the nearest BT phonebox to New Douglas Park.
Could we fill it?

Sean, if I may, let me give you some advice.

Look at Union Berlin in Germany. German football is heavily weighted towards supporters, but this club more so than most.

The club listen to their supporters, the club campaign for what their supporters want, the club is an amazing thing to be a part of. They actively support their Ultras / Choreo displays.

Fan engagement is huge in Germany. Without fans football is nothing.

Why can't this happen here?

SLO
Another thing that's wrong with Football these days.
Didn't need SLOs back in the Day.
What would Chopper Harris and Dave Mackay make of SLOs?
They'd chew them up and spit em out.
Happy New Year.

Don't pizz-off the SLO, guysngals. It's perhaps the only conduit fans have to feed stuff back to the BOD.

There is zero chance of a fans forum, especially with Livingston in the league now.

The Boards main argument was 'we are the smallest club in the league and punching above our weight'

I see McGowan is sponsoring an Accies Over 35's team based from The Vaults;only snag here is that it is being run by Old Firm fans and will be full of non Accies fans.

Kinda similar scenario to why we started Cadzow Accies just under 30 years ago.

As for a Fans Forum,it is badly needed and the SLO should be conveying the message upstairs that 99% of us want Canning out.To be fair though,Sean also wants him sacked.

I saw the over 35 team proposal. McGowan just loves to be seen as the magnanimous giver. Can’t stand not being popular. Perhaps he should put his money into the first team pot. Maybe pot is the wrong word

Better be careful with that one.
Maybe end up in the Clyde with concrete wellies if McGowan gets one of his henchmen on it.
Lol.

I had second hand messages years ago about 'threats' Mr Swift;the reply of I was going team handed with the then ACF was enough to stop any meeting lol.

Ah,the famous ACF.
Seconded only in feared notoriety by the infamous Red Division.

ACF:Anti Canning Force with a couple of thousand members-some who specialise in the fast food/media/taxi business.

Any truth Canning/Boozy are starring in a remake of The Bill Sherry/David Gebbie 1990's classic "Dumb and Dumber?"

If Canning was a Movie he'd be
'20,000 League's Under Dundee'
Or '4 Weddings,a Funeral and a Relegation'.

The last meeting with the board has already answered any questions you may have. We were in a similar position when the last meeting took place also.
I'll recap from memory, with some paraphrasing obviously.

"Now, dont ask me about playing 5 at the back, formations or anything like that, we leave that discussion with our coaching teams"

"Martin Canning believes in the same ethos as us with regards to youth being brought through, even if we are relegated we will not be making a managerial change"

"Our transfer policy has worked for us in the past, we shall not be reviewing it. we admit that for a lot of players we are the last resort or a last minute deal, we try and find a diamond in the rough when possible"

There, sorted.
