You don't have to be crazy to play for Accies...

... but it helps!

Big Brustad on crazy Scotsmen, confirming Norwegian stereotypes, and life at Accies. Is it worth pointing out that four of his starting team-mates on Saturday were English?

With eleven Englishmen in our first team squad, we could almost play 11-a-side England v Scotland games in training!

If we have a couple of other nationals guesting for both teams, here's two XIs in 4-3-3 formation:

ENGLAND
Woods
McGowan Penny (W) Kilgallon Sowah (G)
Taiwo Kelly Smith
Miller Bloomfield Bingham

versus

SCOTLAND
Fulton
Gordon Want Tshiembe (C) McMann
MacKinnon Martin Imrie
Boyd Brustad (N) Keatings

Not sure who would win that head-to-head! Scotland clearly stronger in midfield, but much more closely contested elsewhere on the field.

I reckon the Scotland version would edge it 2-1.
Similar defences, but neither is our strongest back four.
Scotland midfield stronger, if Dougie plays well!
Scotland strikers better finishers.

Shows we’ll the strength in depth from your other thread...quiet day in the office? ;)

Swap Stanger for Tshiembe ,Cunningham for Brustad and that is an all Scots team with Mounlous? coming into English team perhaps instead of Sowah.

The craziest thing about Hamilton Academical Football Club is the constitutional policy of sticking with a manager who has always been out of his depth.
