About to appoint their third manager this year then. Rumoured to be Jim McIntyre, which isn't such good news. He may well do a job for them. But the disruption is good.

2 down, McCann will be lucky to see the end of the month.

In other news Canning is about to be given a 25 year contract--well might as well, he's going no where

To be fair I think St Midden have jumped the gun a bit, bloody hell its only been 4 league games, and he won one of them

Stubbs win rate of 22% is quite similar to Cannings.
As we all know it could be 2% and Martin's in no danger of the bullet.
I mean,Les and Ronnie wouldn't sack their puppet would they?

... and surely wasn't expected to take much, if anything, from the others?

All this managerial chopping and changing doesn't work; it just wastes valuable resources. Long may our competitors continue this stupid policy.

From what I've read on social media the sacking of Stubbs was less to do with results and more to do with his ‘personality’. In the space of a few months he has apparently fallen out with his directors, coaching staff and more importantly the players. The result against hearts was indicative of a manager who had lost the dressing room. Sacking him therefore may actually prove ‘constructive' rather than ‘disruptive’. Time will tell.

Livingston at home? They also failed to win at home to Spartans, coming from 0-2 down to draw. They drew with Queen's Park too.

He's signed some diddies from the likes of Truro and Colchester, players with no pedigree and some with no first team minutes under their belt at all (sounds familiar).

I'm happy enough with Canning for now. Let's give the new signings a few games to make an impact and then see where we are.

*Sorry, meant to quote Willie's point about not expecting to win any of the other games.

Fair comments.

I meant their league games. I think a few clubs aren't taking the League Cup that seriously. ;)

Re TT's point, I welcome the immediate disruption to St Mirren, but a new manager will probably improve them (they could scarcely be much worse), and if it's Jim McIntyre I reckon he could do a decent job, unfortunately.
