Wee Accies 3 - Wee Celtic 0

Postby TerracingTomas » Mon Aug 27, 2018 4:25 pm

Took in the reserve game this afternoon. Accies comfortably beat Celtic 3 - 0 with first half goals from Tierney and Cunningham and a couple of fine saves from Fulton including a cracking one hander. Second half celtic had a little bit more pressure but a great free kick from substitute Reegan Mimnaugn sealed the result. He curved the ball round the wall and at first i thought it was going wide but it clipped of the goal post and shot behind the keeper into the opposite corner of the net. Apart from Sowah and new signing Monlouis it was an under 21 team for us. Monlouis had a quiet game. Garcia came on at half time got a yellow and was hooked off again at 60 minutes. I think he was lucky not to get a second yellow so maybe he was taken of to avoid a red. Didnt look injured. Stanger at the back really looks the part. Arron Smith was in the stands with a few of the boys inclding mcgowan so hes not gone yet. An enjoyable way top spend an afternoon.

Took in the final stages of this match too.
Was impressed by Lewis Smith and Mimnaugh in particular.
Final goal very well worked at the free kick.
Augurs well for the future.

Good performance by the kids as per usual.

Young Stanger class as always,Lewis Smith tried a few things which never came off, good goals, and Tierney looks much better than the guy who used to miss a hatful last season.

The new boy looked unfit, hard to judge him on one game but he realised you get no time on the ball up here.

Again Aaron Smith sitting in the stand;surely we should be playing him in these games for match fitness as we did today with Sowah.
