Accies.V. Livingston - Match Thread

Postby TerracingTomas » Tue Jul 17, 2018 9:24 am

Well is everyone going tonight. Weather cooled off a bit so perfect for a high tempo game. Perhaps we will see Kelly or Philips make a midfield appearance. I’m sorry to disappoint Swift Frank but as of yesterday its still badged the Superseal Stadium but the pitch looks amazing.

0-3.
Kenny Miller hattrick.
That's what you can achieve with a real striker on board.

Not tonight, other plans.
I tend to treat the betfred cup as seriously as the Club ie a series of semi-competitive preseason friendlies.
Hopefully we win and get to the knockout stage where it becomes more interesting.

I'm going. Mainly because I won't be able to make another home game until September. The Annan result has dropped my expectations to rock bottom, but hopefully it'll give the players a kick up the arse.

Looking forward to seeing how we set up (2 or 3 centre backs? And how will middle-to-front work?) Looking forward to seeing McGowan, Penny, Taiwo and Bloomfield in competitive action, and hoping to see Cunningham.

Tough match, but if we get a reaction to Saturday, winnable. It would be good to put down a marker against them for the league season ahead.

No Bloomfield tonight.

Injured? Dropped?

Sam Kelly comes in.

He’s in the stand in front of me, and looks ok. Hopefully just a precaution.

Game is dreadful, canning and his tactics are shit.

Gordon cannot be our CB.

As other comment we like down 10 men as imrie soooo useless.

No striker on bench either

Steven Dobbie scores a hattrick again.
5 goals in 2 games.

Dobbie has no intention of leaving Queens. He's in with the bricks there. Sounds familiar!

Canning has to go. Clueless manager and does not make chAnges to win the game.

Out the cup already!

First half,we had some nice passing moves which broke down in the final third...second half was completely dire, nothing to take out of it apart from not conceding.

We have three strikers injured:Boyd,Bloomfield and Ogympoe,so young Marc Kelly or Ryan Tierney should be getting a shot.

No goals in two competitive games shows where our problems lie and we seem to have no magicians who can drag us out of a hole.

YeOldeHamiltonian sums the game up for me to a T. I enjoyed some of our play in the first half but like Saturdays’ game thought we could have played all day and not scored. I liked what I saw of Sam Kelly on a positive note. Second half was more scrappy. Maybe we tired but neither sub made any difference. Bloomfield didn’t look injured to me but who knows. But it makes me wonder why we let Rojano go unless we thought we had a replacement lined up. Chances of getting out the group are looking slim indeed. I’m afraid I’m going to pass on Berwick next week.

Think we'll all be "passing" on the forthcoming season by the looks of it.
