In all serious, next season is going to be tough regardless.

Unless QoS come up, you are looking at losing two weak clubs in St. Mirren and Ross County, and gaining two strong clubs in Hearts and Hibs or Rangers.

There won't be much between most of the teams next season, and we have to be wary of losing Andreu, Gordon, Crawford, Devlin, Tena etc as they may not command large fees, but would cost a few bob to replace.

were ten points in front of Dundee with ten games to go till the split, if they manage to overtake us and we miss the top six I expect us to be relegated next season if there still in the job.

The implication of that argument is that being in the top six one season somehow protects you from relegation in the next one - which of course it doesn't, other then through the extra money coming from a higher finish being used to buy players - which is a very tenuous connection. What will protect us will be having a good team which won't be significantly affected by whether or not we are top 6 this time around.

Some folk seem to getting all doom and gloom on the back of what was after all only really one bad result. Alex Neil was the manager when we got pumped out the cup at Partick and well beaten twice at Pittodrie. These results will always happen to us. Dundee and Partick are, I would say, the only two sides with the quality to stop us finishing top 6 and we are, with Goal Difference, 11 and 16 ahead of them. They each cannot afford to lose anymore than 2 or 3 of the next ten games. We may be caught by St Johnstone but unless we lose 8 or 9 in a row, and you never know, we'll be top six and in with a shout of finishing fifth.
