Did we play a back three at Annan? Was it Ziggy, Penny & McMann, with McGowan & Imrie as the wing backs?

Or was it a back four of McGowan, Ziggy, Penny & McMann?

Woods
McGowan Penny Gordon McMann
Taiwo MacKinnon
Bingham Imrie Miller
Bloomfield

McGowan and McMann pushed very high up to provide most of the width, as the three behind Bloomfield were pretty narrow.

I'm sure we played a similar shape against Stenny, and certainly did in the second half against Clyde.

Thanks for the clarification.

I'm a bit puzzled by this. Last season we seemed determined to play a back three, despite lacking the personnel to make it work. We seem to have gone out to recruit the players to make it work, and I believe we now have them, with sufficient cover in all positions. Yet we seem to be planning to play a flat back four. :?

I'm looking forward to seeing the set-up tomorrow night.
