Why oh why do the SPFL have to make going to Aberdeen games almost impossible. I assume because we carry a small away support who give a hoot lets just inconvenience them not those teams with big away supports.

Early fixtures could have been worse , September fixtures look key already.

You're absolutely correct Tomas, if we carry the smallest travelling support then the reduction in income because it's a midweek game will be far lower than if they were to inconvenience a bigger club. That doesn't make it fair to our fans though.

Sometimes it seems the close season gets shorter and shorter. Just a few weeks since 17/18 ended, World Cup still on of course, and I've got tickets for a friendly in a fortnight.

Yet our first home league game of 18/19 falls while I'm on holiday, and I won't get to a home league game till 1 September! That's a gap of nearly four months without me watching league football - I wonder if I'll recognise any of the players?

I’ll miss the Hearts game too due to holidays, gambled on us being away from home as usual on the opening weekend, but will take in the Airdrie game the Saturday before and hopefully Motherwell away on the 11th.

Hard to believe we won't take a larger travelling support than Livingston to be honest.
