Fork out the Ferguson money on Lawrence Shankland.

Never going to happen. Accies would look at that as having no ROI.

I'd say we have the Ferguson money plus the Champion's League money coming in. Offer £275k, bring the boy in on a 2 or 3 year deal, and view his goals keeping us up as the ROI.

Hopefully we will have 2 lots of Europa League money coming next season, and we should aim to be in a position to receive the compensation the following year too.

Rumours of Matt Kilgallon from Bradford. Would be decent signing.

Would be more than a decent signing Gav! He's had a very decent career with Leeds, Sunderland, Blackburn and Bradford.
If Twitter is to be believed he's match fit, and frozen out of Bradford for money reasons. He was their player of the year last year.

Would imagine he'd become the top earner, a bit like Andrew Davies leaving them to join Ross County. I think he was also their player of the year. It would still probably mean a severe wage cut for him but at 34 maybe he's happy to take what he can get.

As far as I can see he is still under contract at Bradford until the end of this season. However if he has fallen out of favour and they are apparently unwilling to play him as he is due some kind of bonus for the number of games played I would imagine they will be happy to let him go. Just cant see Accies coming anywhere near his current wage. I would imagine there are a few English club who would take him on a free. Even the national league have clubs who probably pay more than us. You never know maybe the lure of playing the Old Firm might attract him.

As YOH rightly alludes to,the prospect of getting out of that horrible claret/amber kit and into the glorious red and white hoops should be incentive enough to move to Accies.

Adam Phillips away back to Norwich after loan cancelled. Scott Martin possibly on his way from Hibs. A highly rated 21 year old midfielder.

Well goodness me I expected Smith to be gone this week but not one of the loanees. What I saw of Phillips he didnt look any better than what we had. He had a good 90 minutes against Clyde in the Irn bru Cup but then that is the level he was probably playing at with Norwich under 23’s or whatever. Martin sounds a bit better. Have to wait and see. Cant imagine Hibs are looking for a lot provided they get a hefty % if he comes good and we sold him.

How can we afford all this? :D :D :D
There's got to be a nucleus of a good team in there somewhere, surely, with a team and a half of new signings?

Incredible activity.

And at the end of the team that needed strengthened.

Once again, the game tomorrow will be all about guess-the-line-up and spot-the-new-player.

I think I feel a burst of fresh optimism coming on...

I see from Twitter this morning that Ross Cunningham has gone out to Forfar on loan till January.

Probably best, following the Boyd example, as there's more competition now so he'd get less game time with us. Hope he benefits and comes back a better player!

Yep he'll do us a turn next season in the Championship.
Good to see Brophy again proving his many Accies doubters wrong by scoring for the 2nd game in a row for his 4th of the season.
Not good enough for Accies my arse
And Killie's loan signing of Gregg Stewart is proving a masterpiece also.
A lot better than a Norwegian dud.
Or a Dundee Utd midget reject.
Nice to see Lawless stick one right up Canning also.
DOWN with the CLOWN #2018/19
