Think thats a bit of a comedown for Ali signing for Doncaster Rovers. Probably getting sheds more cash mind you, but thought he would have done a decent job at another Scottish Premier league side

Exciting is right. That would be a very attack-minded team!

People complained last season that we didn't have the players for 5-2-3 or 3-4-3 or whatever it is. But we do now.

It's a bit like the formation played by a certain national team that's surprisingly still in the World Cup tonight...

Same level as David Templeton - League One. Good luck to both.

We might be getting midfielder Adam Phillips on loan from Norwich

Nothing from the club yet but the local Norwich paper is reporting it as a done deal. Came up through the Liverpool youth system but released without breaking into the first team. Snapped up by Norwich but been playing in the under 23’s. As we know loans can be a hit or a miss but worth a punt.

Phillips now confirmed by the club as having signed on a season long loan deal.

Useful addition, I think. Decent pedigree: Liverpool Academy and featured at youth level for England. Hopefully gives us more options in midfield. The squad's really filling out.

Given the number of new signings for this season, what's the likelihood of individual pictures of them all on the Official Site First Team web page?? Great if this can be done within a couple of weeks, but, historically, the speed of updated information has not been good. Any way that the new Accies TV guys can assist?

10+ goals a season at ourselves, Hearts and Hibs not so well with United. But all that at Championship level. Can he perform at Premiership level? On the plus side he isn’t an English club loanee :o

Keatings can rot.

Chose the dollar over premiership action for a championship team and probably found his level down there.

Wouldn’t be happy if he signed, another unproven misfit at this level, we don’t need another.

Think it will be a no from most folk iro Keatings,a guy who isn't exactly prolific at Championship level,so why some think he will do it up a level baffles me.

As Stevie Clarke says, young Marc Kelly deserves a chance.

I'd take Keating's.

Our striker options are limited and Bingham has repeatedly failed to deliver, so while he cannot be said to be a prolific scorer, that's hardly been a bar on us signing forwards in the past. I think he would give us a bit of knowledge and ability up front and playing alongside Bloomfield may be a big guy/wee guy combination we could prosper from. That's dependant on us playing 2 up front obviously.

I'd rather give Boyd a shot in that role.

Or give Cunningham an extended run. Or Miller.

I don't see Keatings offering anything more.

Connor Salmon signs for Well and Mikey Jonstone a decent Celtic prospect looks like being farmed out, possibly to St Midden

Either of those would have been decent for us

Would be a decent option, unfortunate name though with the double knob slang, wonder if his middle names are Willie Dick and Percy.

I’d like to see Boyd get a run in the team as I was impressed by him early last season, in particular at Rugby Park in the 2-2 game.

The thing is when we get loan signings in they are always untried youths.
Other teams seem capable of getting players on loan who at least have first team experience.(Sammon at Partick,Ciftci at 'them',OHalloran at St Johnstone to name but a few)
We get inexperienced players which is no use at all
Roll on the Euro Pish.
