Losing Crawford and Templeton leaves us short of creativity and a signing is needed in this area as we can't rely on The Forest guy and Mikel Miller to carry this burden over a whole season.

I hear prolific striker Jim McKay is available on a Bosman YOH, surely worth a punt?

Might be a tad past it now,but is there not a good Bosnian striker Bogan Reek available?

Ali's been sent on his way by Hearts......

I see Connor Sammon has left Hearts as well, not sure if he'd be much good mind you. We do need some craft and creativity in the middle before the season starts though - one more signing required.

Got told on Saturday that they are hopeful of getting 2 new signings in one of which is a big centre half.

It certainly looks like there will be healthy competition for places in defence. And up front.

But in midfield? From middle to front we look short - where's the creativity going to come from?

Sammon did pretty well last season it terms of goals scored and I think he would be a decent signing for us. I remember last season saying we should have made a move for Steven Dobie, of QOS who once again scored a shed load of goals, only to get shot down as he was "too old".

Still think we need a british striker who has been over thecourse before

I said all along Dobbie would have been a brilliant signing for us but didn't fit the criteria for Accies in that he was a ready made striker who scored goals, rather than a Euro pish wannabe who couldn't hit a barn door with a pair of Michelle McManus's kegs.

Wouldn't be the biggest surprise in the World if we're all saying that when he pings a 25 yarder into the top corner for the Well scum against us next season.

The club has announced that Antonio Rojano's contract has been terminated by mutual consent.
Yet another player who came with some reputation, looked decent for a wee bit, then under performed and left quietly.
At least it's before the transfer window closes and a wage is freed up for someone else.

Need a replacement in asap. Not much cover up front now until Oggy is fit again.

I didn't think he really got a chance to be honest , I would have had him on the park before Bingham any day of the week.

Agree with you Stodmeister. The fact that he arrived during close season last year but couldnt play until his work permit situation was resolved in October had a significant bearing on his impact. He might have been physically fit but certainly lacked match fitnes not having played competitively for 4/5 months. I had hoped that with a proper pre season under his belt this time round we might have got something out of him but that didn't go as expected either with him failing to to go to spain. Clearly not all right behind the scene so I suppose better for all concerned.

Disappointed Rojano's away, but not surprised - I was more surprised to see him at Clyde!

Until Oggy's fit again, Bingham will be back-up to lead the line, but hopefully Bloomfield hits the ground running, stays fit, and this question's academic.

I really hope we start with Bloomfiled, Bingham and Miller up front on Saturday. I just have a feeling after their first half performance last night that they could develop into a really exciting forward line.
