You’s must’ve been raging going in at half time 1 up and comfortable with all the away fans going mental.

So because of 2 cheap lapses on set pieces it’s doom and gloom.

How many “cheap lapses on set pieces” have there been this season? Us not learning and improving from it each week is definetly Cannings fault.

No, things are looking bad because:

We've picked up one point from the last 21 available.
The defence has been making the same mistakes all season, and show no signs of stopping.
We're completely reliant on one player.
There appears to be little organisation or cohesion when out of possession.

It's hilarious that some people think that just because someone else reacts negatively to a poor performance, they either hate seeing the team do well or revel in them doing otherwise. Of course, this is based on absolutely nothing.

A win today, and positive results elsewhere ... and the negative posters are nowhere to be seen.

Tumbleweed...

'Twas ever thus.

Accies are staying up.

Now is when the beauty of this year's post-split fixtures kicks in. The three teams below us have all still to play one another.

The best results for us in those games, arithmetically-speaking, are that they're all draws. That would mean Partick's maximum final points total would be 34, assuming they also beat Motherwell, meaning we only need 1 point from our last 3 games to be safe; Ross County's maximum points total would be 32, less than we already have.

Another favourable scenario, if we're willing to give up on 9th place, is that Dundee beat both Partick and County. If that happens, and Partick and County draw next Friday night, we're already safe.

The worst scenario is that County now become the whipping boys, losing to both Dundee and Partick. The silver lining there is we'd already be safe from the automatic relegation spot, but the reason it's the worst scenario is we remain in a dogfight over the play-off spot, albeit in the best position of the 3 contenders.

The good news is our fate is in our own hands. If Partick and County draw on Friday night, a win at Dens guarantees we'll be in the Premier League next season. A draw would likely be enough. And even defeat leaves us 2 more games to secure the points that ensure our safety. We're almost there. 8-)

Just get at the throats of Dundee FC on saturday and we dont need to worry about permutations. A win guarantees safety. We have a good record against Dundee and they were absolutely pants the last time we played even though they beat us. Mr Canning doesnt like them much either.
