Hard to get excited when it's only a group game. Bring back the knockout, decided on the day format and I'll part with my cash.

Don't mind the group setup - gives us some real game time ahead of the league starting!

We need to improve on last Saturday's performance. More cutting edge in the final third needed. Would like to see Temps come in for Louis - but is he injured? Wasn't on the bench last weekend.

Goes without saying it will be a much more difficult game than vs. EK! Queens took 3 points from their opening game too.

Queens lost to EK on penalties, making our result seem better.
It'll be a hard game against them, but if we win or draw and win on penalties, we've basically won the group. If we lose, they should win the group.
Like others I see the groups as competitive pre-season warm ups for the the League and probably won't attend until the knockout stage. Stenhousemuir is a possibility but if I'm busy, I'll not bother.
Hopefully Templeton should get a start and Tomas some game time.

2-1 Accies and Bingham to miss at least one sitter.

Sarris was excellent. That's about it.

Just felt like a pre-season kick about. The two centre-backs were very dominant, but I think their distribution left a lot to be desired, and Queens got in behind too many times. They're fine when the ball's just getting launched, though...
I don't think I've seen McMann have a worse game for us, and Gillespie was equally as bad. Skondras has to come in on Tuesday.
The midfield were so, so sloppy. They did well marking Gogic out the game which meant the midfield was bypassed due to long balls, but even when we did play through it, no one had that killer ball - everything was a nearly ball.
Longridge was completely ineffectual. What a difference when Temps came on, although he did also lack a final ball. Bingham won a few flick ons and what not, but he isn't a striker or even a footballer. It doesn't help when he doesn't get any service, though.
One of the only positives is Boyd's goal was an absolute screamer. He won't hit a ball better all season. One of the sweetest strikes you're likely to see.
