Think we will go three centre backs.

"Hamilton Accies player-manager Martin Canning hopes the windfall might persuade his club's board to bring in another player to New Douglas Park."

I take form this " my board are tight ass men who only give me buttons for player and why we take wild punts at random duds "

Do we think there will be any activity today? Any rumours? No chance that #22 will be back after his Hat-Trick the other night!!

From the BBC website

"Could Andreu return to Scotland?

Former Livingston and Hamilton Accies midfielder Tony Andreu could be set for a move away from Norwich City.

A number of Scottish clubs including Ross County, Dundee United and his former club Hamilton Accies are expressing an interest in the 28-year-old.

Andreu joined Norwich for a fee in the region of £1 million in February 2015."

I've been half expecting Neil Lennon to sign Andreu, after he set up three of Rotherham's four goals against Bolton last season. But after his hat trick last night, I'd have thought he might still be wanted at Norwich or maybe go out on loan to League One. But we'll happily take him!

Just looked at Norwich forum, Carlton Morris seems to now be even further down the pecking order following Jerome Sinclair's arrival from Watford, a player with only three league appearances yet valued at £4m!!! Mad eejits down there. Would be happy to see Morris come back though the need for him is now not so great.

Also, see Chris Robertson has been let go by Ross County. Isn't he a left back? Could be a decent signing but maybe he wants to go back down south.

We have apparently signed Livi goalkeeper Darren Jamieson as a backup to Matthews and Woods.

Strange decision making from Andreu; not sure what he would achieve in terms of career development coming back to the premiership let alone the championship.

Would have been great to get him notwithstanding that the gaps in our squad lie elsewhere.

If we have cash available a left wing back should be the priority.

Gutted he did join us again , guess the #22 love in has to stop now , he had no interest to come back to NDP , great player for us but must think it a backward step to join little Accies again .

With the transfer window closed lets look forward to the arrival of the next Diaby

Let's look at his choice like this. Tony has gone to Dundee Utd who are likely to be competing for promotion, so can expect to win more than half of their games. On Saturday, if he had played, he would have been preforming on a stage in front of more than 7,000 fans. Everyone expects that Accies will more likely to be competing at the bottom end of the table, in front of about 1500-2000 fans, many of whom give dog's abuse. Which would playing environment you find more pleasurable?

That's much too sensible an outlook. One fan even thought a player at Norwich who joined for about £3m in the summer should choose us instead of Aberdeen. Still think he could have done better than United after doing fairly well at Rotherham.

Was he given the option to come back?

A weird decision:joining a side who will more than likely be fighting for the play offs,a side under pressure to go up and a lower standard of football.

The crowd argument can also be looked at another way.Who would players with ambition rather join?A side in the bottom division like Portsmouth or Premiership Bournemouth with a smaller support and smaller crowds?A no brainer for those with the ambition to test themselves at the highest level.

Ham Ad Sport on twitter said we offered more money than Dundee Utd to have him back, so it's obviously been a personal choice. Really quite gutting, considering the love we still have for the guy. I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and think he doesn't want to work under Canning or the current board, as premier division football would certainly be more high profile/good for his career, than a championship battle *again*

Yes that is a possibility. But this tendency to frequently look at the negative side of the club or manager doesn't explain why he knocked back other top flight clubs.

It's more likely to be that coming back to Accies would seem like he failed to make the step up down south. Also Championship football or not, UTD are a much bigger club than us.
